Martyn Colbeck has won many awards for his cinematography and stills photography. The most significant of these are Overall Winner of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year in 1993, Winner of the Gerald Durrell Award for endangered species in 1996, Winner and Runner up in the Black and White category of the 2005 Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition, as well as Best Cinematography at the two most prestigious wildlife film festivals in the world - The Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival in the USA and The Wildscreen International and Environmental Film festival in Bristol. Martyn is the only person to have won these top awards in both cinematography and stills photography.
